Friends of Gale Free Library (FGFL) support the Library through a variety of fundraising projects, including memberships, special activities, and book sales designed to supplement town appropriations.
The Book Cellar
The Book Cellar is Holden’s used book store, located in the basement of the Gale Free Library. All proceeds from Book Cellar sales support our Gale Free Library.
Opening Soon: Tuesday, June 1st
We are so happy to share good news! The Book Cellar, Holden’s only book shop, will reopen for sales only on June 1. (We will not be taking donations until a future date. Thank you for your understanding.)
Book Cellar hours now through the summer are:
– 1 to 4 pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
– 10 am to Noon on Saturdays
Beginning Tuesday, May 18, from 3-6 pm, we will also participate in Holden’s Farmers’ Market.

Please consider donating books, audio-books, CDs and DVDs that are in good, saleable condition.
The Book Cellar cannot accept toys, games, puzzles, records, software, textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias, self-help, diet and exercise books, travel books before 2017, CDs, VHS tapes, cassette tapes or damaged books. No books with mold please. Thank you for your understanding.
